The prohibition of adding new matter, focusing especially on explanations of case examples. In the webinar, we will explain the basic idea for the prohibition of adding new matter under Japanese patent practice, and go over some case examples found in the handbook issued by the Japanese Patent Office in detail. These case examples should provide practical hints when considering amendments in Japanese patent applications.
