Ms. Kato is mainly in charge of patent prosecution in the fields of inorganic materials such as materials chemistry.  She also handles cases in the field of metals.

During her master course, Ms. Kato engaged in research on dehydrogenation of methylcyclohexane (MCH) using solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC), and succeeded in extracting electrons directly from MCH to generate electricity by utilizing the oxygen ion conduction function of SOFCs.
