Yuki Komai

Professional with Doctorate Degree

Practice Area
Technical Field

Chemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals / Mechanical Engineering / Physics, Optics, Materials

Dr. Komai handles patent cases in a wide range of technical fields such as images and videos, display, control and mechatronics, mathematics, quantum technology, fluid mechanics, electromagnetics, sound and acoustic waves, space engineering, material processing machinery, electrical instruments, information communications equipment, aircraft, microstructure technology, nanotechnology, physics, semiconductor, optics, metal, electric materials, and inorganic chemistry. She has over 10 years of experience in patent practice.

During her doctoral studies, Dr. Komai specialized in optics. She conducted research on optical spectrum signal processing with diffractive optical elements (DOEs). DOEs are effective in optical spectrum synthesis, and the range of their applications has been restricted to the field of optical synthesis in the space domain of light, such as a mere substitute for conventional lenses. In her research, original spectrum processing and their applications were studied for the purpose of creating new types of applications for DOE’s in the frequency, time, and space domains.
