Seven years have passed since the operation of the opposition resumed in Japan. The rate of patent oppositions is not high, and it has not changed much over the past few years. However, opportunities to file and receive oppositions are expected to increase in the future. With that, I would like to introduce the procedure of Japanese opposition system.
